Michael was introduced to the financial services industry at a very early age by his father, Chris Davis, who educated him on the world of finance and investing.  Michael interned with Davidson Wealth Management in the summers of 2004 and 2005.  During this time he was fully immersed in the world of holistic wealth management.  Michael joined the team in 2006 after graduating from Western Carolina University.  Michael's passion for portfolio management led him to attain his Private Investment Management (PIM) certification, a Wells Fargo Advisors' portfolio management designation.  With a desire to further his education and better serve  clients, Michael earned his CERTIFIED FUND SPECALIST™ designation.

Michael has experience working with clients in the area of comprehensive wealth management that includes investment selection, portfolio construction, and retirement planning.  Michael serves on Davidson Wealth Managements investment team and is responsible for analysis, trading, and portfolio oversight.  He also assists in the analysis and due diligence of external portfolio managers used at Davidson Wealth Management.

Michael was named a Five Star Wealth Manager by Charlotte Magazine in 2013, 2014, and 2015.  This list honors an elite group of Charlotte area advisors, representing less than 7 percent of the wealth managers in the area.

Michael his wife Carrie and their three children live in Mooresville. They enjoy spending time traveling, cooking, and boating on Lake Norman with their friends and family.

Favorable regulatory and complaint history review (unfavorable feedback may have been discovered through a check of complaints registered with a regulatory authority or complaints registered through Five Star Professional's consumer complaint process*); 4. Fulfilled their firm review based on internal standards; 5. Accepting new clients; 6. One-year client retention rate; 7. Five-year client retention rate; 8. Non-institutional discretionary and/or non-discretionary client assets administered; 9. Number of client households served; 10. Education and professional designations. Wealth managers do not pay a fee to be considered or awarded. Once awarded, wealth managers may purchase additional profile ad space or promotional products. The award methodology does not evaluate the quality of services provided and is not indicative of the winner's future performance.
